The Poison Mask and Its Corrupted Vent

GAME UPDATE

The second new Mask of the Totem is here: the Poison Mask! Its spell, the Corrupted Vent, spits a toxic gas on the ground that poisons your enemies... and nobody can teleport from it or into it.

How to Get It

Like every Mask, the Poison Mask is a Tamon that comes from the clan Totem: when your clan owns the Totem, open its SPAWN A MASK PET panel and spend your Golden Apples on an Untamed, Baby, Adult or Boss Mask. Each spawn draws one of the 7 Masks at random.

And just like the Spectrum Mask, taming one from an Untamed spawn completes its Tamodex challenge for 50 Golden Apples.

The Corrupted Vent

"A corrupted vent spits a toxic gas on the ground: the enemies inside are poisoned and take heavy damage over time, and nobody can teleport from or into the gas."

Reloading Gas damage Aura radius
30s / 26s / 22s 10 / 15 / 20 per hit 180 / 225 / 270

Values for a Baby / Adult / Boss Poison Mask. Tamers take half of the gas damage.

A Toxic Cloud

The gas hits every enemy inside every 0.4 second for about 6 seconds: around 16 hits. An enemy Tamon that stays inside the whole time takes about 160, 240 or 320 damage from the gas alone, depending on the age of your Mask.

Every enemy inside also gets the Poison effect, with even more damage over time. And while the Poison lasts, the pets weak to Poison, the Plant, Combat and Spectrum ones, can't cast their spells!

A Nightmare for Masks

The gas deals double damage to Plant, Combat and Spectrum Tamons, and half damage to Poison, Rock and Insect ones. As every Mask is part Plant, most enemy Masks take double damage... and the Spectrum Mask takes triple damage!

No Teleport Zone

While the gas is spread, nobody can teleport from it or into it: not your enemies, not your allies, not even your own pets. A teleport that starts inside the gas or aims inside it fails, and its cooldown is still used. Goodbye to the surprise dives of the Fire Wisp and its Candle Portal, or of the Lava Golem and its Magma Genesis!

The gas hits players and pets, and even wild animals, but it doesn't damage buildings.

Counters and Combos

- Several Corrupted Vents add up their damage, but the Poison effect doesn't stack.
- Allies inside a Warding Gaze take less damage from the gas and don't get poisoned, but they still can't teleport.
- A Poison or Plant cape reduces the gas damage on its wearer by 80%.
- The healing aura of an enemy Plant Mask can outheal the gas.

Know Its Weaknesses

The Poison Mask is a Poison and Plant Tamon:
- Insect deals it triple damage.
- Fire, Rock and Ice deal double damage.
- It resists Plant, Water, Electric, Combat and Spectrum.

Tactical Tips

- Gas a chokepoint or the doorway of a base.
- Stand in your own gas to be safe from teleporting divers.
- Trap the enemy teleporters: they can't escape by teleporting.
- Bring it against Masks and against Plant, Combat or Spectrum pets.
- Don't gas your own Fire Wisp or Lava Golem: they can't teleport either!
