Your house can now talk to the other houses of Taming.io! Place a Mailbox in your home and send letters with gifts to any tamer who has one too.

Get Your Mailbox

The Mailbox is a new piece of interactive furniture: "Send letters and gifts to other tamers."

- Buy it in the Shop of your house.
- Or craft it with 3 Crates of Wood, 2 Crates of Stone and 1 Crate of Bones, once you own its blueprint. The housing quest "Fan Mail" gives it for free!

Then place it in your house: only a placed Mailbox can send and receive letters, and it is what makes you appear in the list of the other tamers.

Keep an eye on its red flag: when it goes up, a letter is waiting for you. Your visitors can see it too!

Write a Letter

Open your Mailbox and choose the Write tab:
1. Pick a tamer. Everybody with a placed Mailbox is listed, the most liked houses first. Search a name or a #id: the search even finds fancy nicknames.
2. Choose your paper.
3. Write your message: click the greeting, the words or the signature on the letter, then pick a sentence in the list.
4. Add your gifts.
5. Send it!

Ready-Made Sentences

There is no free text: every letter is built with ready-made sentences, so letters always stay friendly... or at least funny. You can choose between 30 greetings, more than 70 messages and 33 signatures: that's over 200,000 different letters!

A few of our favorites:
- "Roses are red, apples are too, I tamed a Wolf, and it bit you."
- "Touch grass. Here, I sent some."
- "Good night, don't let the Slimes bite."
- "Warning: this gift may contain poop."
- And to sign: "Sent from my mailbox," or "Yours in poop,"

Send Gifts... and Poop

Every letter carries 1 to 5 gifts, picked among your crates: Wood, Stone, Gold, Apples, Water, Ice, Sand, Dust, Ash, Grass, Bones, Rot, Dead Grass, Perished Apples... Only the crates of your storage can travel, not the ones placed in your house.

And yes, a fresh Poop, Big Poop or Giga Poop can be mailed too. Use this power wisely.

The Price of a Letter

A letter costs 1 Golden Apple, plus 5 Golden Apples per gift:

The game asks you to confirm before anything is paid, and nothing is charged if the letter can't be delivered.

Receive Your Letters

Letters arrive right away, even when you are offline. If you are at home, a notification tells you "You've got mail". If you were away, your "While You Were Away" report counts the letters you received.

The Inbox shows your letters, the newest first. Click the #id of a sender to open their profile, and click CLAIM to move all the gifts of a letter into your storage: the letter then leaves your Mailbox.

A Mailbox holds up to 10 letters. When it is full, nobody can write to you anymore: claim your letters regularly!

What Will You Send?

- Thank the neighbor who watered your plants.
- Send Crates of Water to a friend before they leave for a while.
- Wish a happy birthday to your clanmates.
- Invite someone to your clan, or to the next raid.
- Send a formal declaration of war. Politely.
